Description
The Ground of Events, Barbara Carey's third book of poetry, leads the reader gently into the intimate politics of women's lives in a compelling journey through doubt and hope, probing the ways in which our social surroundings construct human identity.
"Pulsing with intelligence, crafted with precise elegance and originality, these poems reveal the grief, tenderness, and endurance present in the briefest of encounters, in the most fleeting of memories."? Carole Corbeil
