Description

Bugs in the garden can be annoying, frightening, entertaining and mysterious. This handy little book features more than 130 bugs that commonly appear in Ontario gardens, the good, the bad and the ugly. Each illustrated account features species identification and life history, as well as a description of the bug's activities in your garden. Harmful bugs and beneficial bugs are identified, as are tips and techniques to get rid of them or attract them.

About the authors

Dr. Ken Fry teaches entomology in the school of Horticulture at Olds College. He has been involved in insect pest management research and teaching for over 12 years. Nine of those years were spent as a research scientist with the Alberta Research Council. His research is focused on biological control of insect pests and integrated pest management. Ken has never met a bug he didn’t like, or at least for which he has a grudging respect.
