Description
When a terrorist infiltration overtakes the Yukon Arctic Ultra--the most challenging human-powered race in the world--Auxiliary RCMP Markus Fanger leads a manhunt for North America's most imminent threat. With the help of Donjek Stoneman, a young offender attempting to clean up his life by serving as a race official, Fanger traces the menace to Arctic civilization through the frozen northland of Dawson City, Yukon to Fort Greely, Alaska, where a desperate man seeks vengeance against the United States government. From Ice to Ashes is a fast-paced thriller that transports the mystery genre into an area seldom explored in North American literature.

Editorial Reviews
"From Ice to Ashes is a welcome addition to Arctic fiction; the terrain and weather are as treacherous as the multi-faceted antagonist. Simon is a promising new author and I look forward to her next book."--Jan Harper Haines, author of Cold River Spirits"Jessica Simon catapults her characters on a trailblazing trip over The Top of the World, from Canada's Yukon into Alaska. A real page-turner!"--Shirlee Smith Matheson, author of the Flying the Frontiers series"Packed with thrills. Markus Fanger makes a perfect modern hero as he and a young offender head off a terrorist threat designed to shoot ice down your spine." --Lou Allin, author of the Belle Palmer Mysteries
