Anne Cottringer was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario. On warm summer nights with her bedroom window open, she used to listen to the Falls and dream of being a writer. After her first son was born, she took a children's writing course and tired her hand at writing children's books. Since 1996 she has published several picture books as well as a book for young readers.
