Description

In print for the first time!

Believed to have been lost but recently found, Early Work & Later Works is a compilation of sorts (something different than what the 'norm' is accustomed to) that someone suggested should be published. Really?

Editorial Reviews

Bravo, Bravo! Montreal author David Makin has got to be Canada's best kept secret. I have read Mr. Makin's first novel Reantasy, Montreal and absolutely loved it! I can not wait for the sequel. That said, Early Work & Later Works is a gem of a compilation. Early Work & Later Works explores the earlier writings of the author. Where as most compilations are a series of short stories assembled in book form, Early Work & Later Works provides the reader with insight to the writings. As with his first book Reantasy, Montreal I felt like I was engaged in a conversation with the author. David Makin's writing is different, easy on the eye, to the point and very well written.

Although Early Work & Later Works may be a short read, it is a good read, a fun read. It is a shame that much of his early writings were lost, one can only imagine the joy they would have provided to the reader. David Makin is by no means a Hemmingway but he does have his own writing style and for that reason he should be read on a wider scale.

Early Work & Later Works like Reantasy, Montreal are a refreshing change for those who want something honest, fun and brillant.
