Description

Humans. Spirits. And the reactor that connects them. Daring and clever, Dawn has just one thing in mind: becoming a dream engineer at the incredible Dream Reactor. But in a changing universe in which the worlds of humans and spirits were recently connected, managing the dream industry is a massive job. About the author

Contributor Notes

Born in Baie Comeau, Patrick Blanchette was very young when he learned to make comics by imitating his big brother. When his brother turned to weightlifting, Patrick continued to work on his pencil stroke. He discovered Japanese animation on TV, then was introduced to American cartoons when he was studying at CEGEP: these two influences forged his style. It was also at this time that the story of Dawn was created.

Patrick continued his training in animation and storyboarding at Université Laval. He quickly attracted notice and was hired by animation studios, preventing him from continuing to refine the story of his young heroine, which he had imagined for the small screen. Eager to tell Dawn’s story, he got the idea of transposing his story to comic book form. He enthusiastically sharpened his pencil, rolled up his sleeves, and plunged headfirst into the adventure on paper.

When not drawing (which he does all the time), Patrick enjoys cooking, following the news, playing video games, watching animated series with his partner and going for long walks through the streets of L’Ancienne-Lorette, where he now lives.
