Description
British Columbia's Okanagan Valley is home to some of Canada's most beautiful beaches, lakes, and mountains. The scenery, weather, and friendly people are what attracts nearly 3 million visitors a year from British Columbia, Canada, and all over the world. The excellent skiing, golf, and wineries are a key factor for many tourists who come to the Okanagan. Discovering the Okanagan details golf courses to suit the casual or expert golfer, wineries that are a joy to tour, and ski resorts with great snow and great value. Jim Couper, an experienced travel writer and Okanagan local, provides readers with a personal look at all the best attractions, restaurants, and history the area has to offer. From the U.S. Border to the northern shore of Okanagan Lake, Jim reveals outstanding beaches, hiking and biking trails, and places to see wildlife, and provides directions for scenic drives to get you there. Discovering the Okanagan is the perfect companion for anyone exploring the Okanagan Valley.
