Discovering Communities examines and compares Canada's urban and rural communities, with a focus on human and environmental interactions. Students will compare the communities' cultural backgrounds, as well as their use of space and services within the community. This book also investigates and describes the interaction between people and the environment, such as their dependence on nature for food, water, and energy.
Through the use of Discovering Communities, students will develop geographic skills, including general map and globe skills.
