Description

More than one long joke about "Oot and aboot," this book details how those in Canada speak more than just English or French. We have a vocabulary--and a number of dialects--all our own. So, sit on the chesterfield with a box of timbits and read this tongue-in-cheek take on Canada's unofficial language.

About the author

Geordie Telfer is a writer, actor and artist. As a child, he practiced flying by leaping onto a beanbag chair, and his dream job was to become Batman. Unfortunately, neither ambition turned out, but his passion for adventure remains. Geordie has been an assistant director, a freelance set carpenter and a web and television writer. He worked extensively on deafplanet.com, the first TV show and website in American Sign Language, and has written several nature documentaries. Geordie has always been interested in how we communicate and has written another non-fiction book on the subject, How to Speak Pirate.
