Description
Crafting New Traditions: Canadian Innovators and Influences brings together the work of eleven historians and craftspeople to address the two questions of “who has influenced the recent history of Canadian studio craft?” and “who will be considered as the ‘pioneers’ of Canadian craft in the future?”
About the authors
Jean Johnson was the Coordinator of the Craft Studio from 1979 to 1991, when she became the Crafts Project Manager, a position she still holds. She has been celebrated by the Ontario Crafts Council, the Ontario College of Art and Design and NSCAD and was awarded the Order of Canada in 1993 for her work with the Canadian crafts community.
