Description
Where poems and paintings meet: Watch. Keep on watching. The moment the viewer looks away, something will happen.
Carol Malyon sees paintings as minimalist narratives. The words are missing. She stares, concentrates, tries to imagine those missing words.
Only certain paintings, though: people with faces hidden, preventing eye contact; an atmosphere of mystery, foreboding, angst. Colville's paintings, for instance. Especially Colville's. His paintings disturb; demand attention.
