Description
Colour - it's everywhere in this amazing land of ours. It's in robins' eggs, the sparkling sea, butterflies, and partridgeberry jam. It's in the nature that surrounds us - and that lives within us. This beautiful book celebrates that colour in vibrant poetry and pictures. A joy for both child and adult, this is a homespun journey that every Newfoundlander and Labradorian will recognize as their own.
About the author
A native Newfoundlander, Susan Pynn Taylor is a professional writer with a background in marketing and communications. She has traveled throughout North America, but always finds her way back to her island home. Susan is a devoted wife and mother, with a love for children, literature, and nature. At Nanny's House is her fifth book for young readers, following her success in 2007 with A Puppy Story (Creative, 2007), The Colours of my Home: A Portrait of Newfoundland and Labrador (Creative, 2007), The Jelly Bean Row (Creative, 2011) and On Poppy's Beach (Creative, 2013).
