Description

A crowd of dead people tries to hitchhike in the rain. A husband and wife awake to find that he has transformed into a pickle and she into a mango. A member of a rock star's entourage has recently been promoted to become keeper of the sunglasses. A man living in an elevator opens his mouth to release a swarm of flies. In Broken Accidents, Phlip Arima presents fictions in which the mundane and the surreal collide, and humour and sadness paint opposite sides of a revolving door. Filled with absurd conversations, monologues and sardonic descriptions of warped realities, Broken Accidents twists and squirms with incisive metaphor yet maintains a child-like wonder and curiosity.
