Description

Breakthroughs is an upper intermediate ESL text for adult and young adult learners; it focuses on teaching critical thinking skills and the expression of critical thought using adult-appropriate concepts. Theme-based units help to teach students advanced reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

The body of the text includes ten units. Each unit incorporates vocabulary, reading, grammar, writing, and listening exercises. Students are presented with a rich variety of content and activities to help them develop their English language skills within an engaging context. Upon completion of this four-skills program, students will be prepared to move on to the advanced level of Breakthroughs.
