Editorial Reviews

?Walking a thin line between depressing and uplifting?a line I hadn’t really thought about existing before?Nathan Jurevicius’ Birthmark brings a familiar tale of vengeance into a completely alien world.” — John Seven, The Comics Beat

?Both whimsical and grotesque, Nathan Jurevicius’ latest graphic novel Birthmark is a take on an age-old story?that of the hero’s quest?a wonderful clashing of the cute with that of the strange, and it works well. Very well.” — Daniel Miller, Heavy Feather Review

Praise for Junction

?Junction is an ideal book for young readers attracted to a more bizarre aesthetic, showing children how to break traditional design rules to create art with a distinct perspective. Adults can find value in the intricacy of Jurevicius’ craft, and the textured crosshatching, immersive composition, and vibrant, varied color palette bring a captivating splendour to the narrative.” — Oliver Sava, A.V. Club

?Junction...leaves readers with a newfound appreciation of the combined power of image and imagination.” — Christina Quintiliani, Canadian Review of Materials

?An enticing slide into the strange, particularly for fans of Shaun Tan's wilder fancies.” — Kirkus Reviews

?Nathan Jurevicius' work achieves the minor miracle of being aggressively weird, deeply compelling and entirely satisfying...a rare achievement that only a true master of mysterio autentico can accomplish.” — Jim Woodring, creator of Frank and Jim
