Tiziano Broggiato was born in Vicenza in 1953, where he currently lives. Among his most recent publications: Dieci poesie (Mondadori 2007), Anticipo della notte (Marietti 2006), and Parca lux (Marsilio 2001), awarded the prestigious Premio Montale and the Premio dell?Unione Lettori Italiani. His poetry has been translated into several languages: Spanish, French, English, Croatian, Serbian and Greek. Broggiato's latest collection, Città alla fine del mondo, will be published by in 2013.

Many and profound are the themes and formal structures of this poetry: an engagement with space and thought, bringing together a particular kind of language and gift of imagination, thus creating a music of great harmony and delicate orchestration. Tiziano Broggiato returns poetry to its traditional role with a texture woven of feeling and literary form, by which he is able to create narratives distant in time. As the narrator-poet plumbs the depths, discovering himself as exile or castaway, the lost voice guides him to the place where the present moment and the absolute meet.
