About the author

John A. Read fell in love with astronomy after viewing Saturn in a small telescope. In 2016, he became a full-time author, vlogger, student, and dad. In 2020, he was the recipient of the Simon Newcomb Award for science communication from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. He is currently the host of the YouTube channel Learn to Stargaze, and is earning his masters degree in space systems engineering at Johns Hopkins University.
