In formats both modern and traditional, the authors explore joy and loss, connection and disconnection… and cookies! The poems demonstrate the tenacity of the Gaels and their language in the diaspora. Poems are presented in Scottish Gaelic with parallel English translations. 10% of profits from sales of the book will be donated to the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia.
Tha an leabhar seo a’ cruinneachadh bàrdachd Ghàidhlig ùr bho aon sgrìobhadair dheug aig a bheil buinteanas ri Alba Nuadh. Ann an dòighean nuadh agus traidiseanta, fidrichidh iad àigh agus bròn, dìlse agus aonarachd… agus briosgaidean! Tha na dàin seo a’ taisbeanadh gu bheil na Gàidheil agus an cànan fhathast buanachadh air feadh an sliochda. Bidh am bàrdachd a’ nochdadh anns a’ Ghàidhlig, le eadar-theangachaidhean Beurla air na duilleagan mu choinneamh. Thèid deich sa ceud dhen phrothaid bhon leabhar gu Comhairle na Gàidhlig ann an Alba Nuaidh.
