Think about it: right this moment, all across the country, Canadian books are waiting quietly under Christmas trees, wrapped up, ribboned and bowed, and ready to bring readers delight when they're unpackaged on Wednesday morning. It's exciting to consider, all these reading experiences to-be, great books just waiting to be opened. Because a book is the perfect gift, of course, needing no batteries, guaranteed to fit just right if carefully selected, and good for returning to again and again years after the gift is given.

Obviously, we're wishing you a stack of amazing books for Christmas, but we're going to go one step further: in all the hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season, we wish each and every one of you plenty of time for reading. Truly, there is no gift better than that.
