The 2012 Scotiabank Giller Prize longlist was announced this morning, and now 13 Canadian books are in the national spotlight, though more than a few of the titles and their authors have been familiar to 49thShelf for some time. Robert Hough (Dr. Brinkley's Tower) was interviewed by Julie Wilson back in March. Lauren B. Davis (Our Daily Bread) contributed a guest-post to our blog, "The Shadow in the Mirror" in April. In June, Katrina Onstad (Everybody Has Everything) created the wonderful reading list Books With a Sense of Place, and we love the great reads Nancy Richler (The Imposter Bride) included on her list Books That Excited Me.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for appearances by Billie Livingston, Annabel Lyon and C.S. Richardson.
