Description

The Zenimaginarium Garden, each page hand-drawn by Saskatchewan artist and former teacher Jeanne Burbage, of Lines and Designs, is a beautiful fantasy garden full of flowers, gnomes, rabbits, birds, snails, owls, and so much more. All ages can color this art, using pencil crayons, crayons or markers, to generate wellness and provide a beautiful piece of art to frame or give as a gift. Many of Jeanne’s designs are inspired by Zentangle®, the new doodle art created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. Jeanne’s love and appreciation of flowers were a natural starting place for The Zenimaginarium Garden.

About the author

Contributor Notes

Jeanne Burbage is a Saskatchewan girl – born and raised in the Rosetown area, in the heart of the Saskatchewan wheat belt. She is a retired teacher and teacher librarian who has also been a lettering artist for 35 years. Jeanne (pronounced jean-nee) has had a lifelong interest in drawing and various art forms. Her love of doodling became ingrained as she watched her mother doodle while talking on the phone or to keep the children quiet in church. During Jeanne’s teaching career in Saskatoon, doodling and drawing were art activities she utilized in the classroom. Creating hand-drawn materials for the students was a common practice among teachers when Jeanne began her career. When she was introduced to Zentangle®, the new doodle art created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts, Jeanne found a new way to express her creativity and her inner artist.
