Native Homes

This copiously illustrated non-fiction book in the series Native Nations of North America describes the various types of homes used by Aboriginal groups throughout North America. Information includes construction methods and materials, use of space inside, and some information about how homes within a settlement might be arranged. This book is really useful for comparing the living arrangements of various Aboriginal groups as well as for looking at how environment, available materials and nomadic versus sedentary lifestyles affect building style. Includes a glossary.
