Description

The three islands, Swimming Rock, canoeing with her dad -- the summer landscape of the lake is so familiar to Laura.

But today it is familiar and different all at the same time. Laura is seeing the lake in winter for the first time, and she will skate over the water to visit these islands, now shrouded in snow. With gorgeous naturalistic detail, acclaimed illustrator Laszlo Gal has captured the beauty of the Canadian wilderness.
