About the author

Alan Bryce started collecting art in the 6's when he bought his first original painting in the Yorkville area of Toronto. His collection of Canadian art now exceeds all available wall space and several storage locations. Alan specializes and loves the artwork of renowned Canadian artist Doris McCarthy and owns the largest private collection of her art in Canada.

In 21, Alan opened a Gallery and art investment business called Passages Art Inc. He currently serves on the Board of The Doris McCarthy Gallery and is an active participant in all aspects of the Canadian art market.

Born and raised in Toronto, Alan studied Art History at University of Toronto and lives in Toronto with his wife, children, grandchildren and art.
