Jo Ellen was born in Houston, Texas, and received degrees in elementary education and psychology from the University of Texas in Austin. Her best-selling children’s books have been nominated for and won many different awards, including the Ruth Schwartz Award, the Mr. Christie’s Book Award, the Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award. Her picture book Gifts was selected for the TD Grade One Book Giveaway program, as well as the IBBY Honor List. She lives in Guelph, Ontario.

JO ELLEN BOGART a obtenu des diplômes en éducation et en psychologie de l'Université du Texas à Austin. Ses albums à succès ont été mis en nomination et ont gagné de nombreux prix, y compris le prix Ruth et Sylvia Schwartz, le Mr. Christie Book Award et le prix Amelia Frances Howard- Gibbon. Son album illustré Cadeaux a été sélectionné pour le programme de lecture Un livre à moi TD, un programme qui offre un livre à tous les élèves de première année au Canada. Jo Ellen habite à Guelph, en Ontario.

BARBARA REID réalise des illustrations avec de la pâte à modeler pour ensuite laisser son conjoint, Ian Crysler les photographier. Barbara a signé plusieurs livres à titre d'auteure bien qu'elle avoue ne pas éprouver autant de plaisir à écrire une histoire qu'à l’illustrer. Elle a gagné plusieurs prix dont le prix du Gouverneur général et en 2014, le prix Libris dans la catégorie album illustré. Elle est aussi membre de l'Ordre de l'Ontario et de l'Ordre du Canada. Barbara vit à Toronto.
